Stefano has been contributing to the Ubuntu Touch platform for several years as a community member.

In 2014, he became the lead developer of the Ubuntu Document Viewer for Ubuntu devices, where he helped with the integration of LibreOffice functionalities. He also published some of the most appreciated apps for Ubuntu Touch, like InstantFX and UT Tweak Tool.

He is now part of the OpenStore team, and his effort is to redesign the client application which is now included in the UBports builds of Ubuntu Touch.

Ubuntu for phones is no longer supported by Canonical. The official Ubuntu app store will cease to exist by the end of the year. Despite that, there are people out there who still want to use Ubuntu on their devices or create software for them. Here comes the OpenStore. It is the most user friendly way to install or distribute applications for Ubuntu Touch, and the new version is going to be even better. We will show you some details about it.
